New Film by Noah and the Whale

It’s always refreshing when you come across something new and original. Noah and the Whale, who’s name is a combination of their favorite film “The Squid and the Whale” (produced by Wes Anderson) and the directors name Noah Baumbach,  have taken their second album release “The First Days of Spring” and made a film composition with the entire album as the soundtrack. The name of the video shares the same name as the album. Charlie Fink, Noah and the Whales’ principal singer and songwriter, was quoted as saying “I do see the film and the album as being together, as a unified thing, but the album very much came first – it has its own internal narrative.” Charlie directed the video as a “visual version” of the album. Much like the album the video has dark and venomous overtones, but still holds a light of hope and visual appeal.  Please take the time to watch it all the way through, at a 45 min run time its not your usual music video, but should grab your attention and hold it…
