Dark Was The Night

Was going through some of my favorite albums of this year and came across “Dark Was the Night”. Dark Was the Night is a compilation disc produced by National’s Aron and Bryce Dessner so will not be making the list of top albums, but definitely a must have. The album was released in February of this year and was a benefit for the Red Hot Organization – an international charity dedicated to raising money and awareness for HIV and AIDS through popular culture. They are the people responsible for albums including No Alternative, Red Hot and Blue and many more, and this is their 20th year, and this is the 20th release! If you haven’t picked it up yet I suggest it. Below I have embedded a small sampling of the talent on this years Red Hot release.
